Victory Pushes Red Bulls Record to 26-20
|
The Riverside Red Bulls defeated the Jacksonville Hellcats, 6-4, at Hellcats Park. Riverside shortstop Louie Culley was named player of the game for his superb performance. He went 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. Riverside reliever Pablo Merced picked up the win to move to 2-0. Tetsuzan Ono suffered the loss. Tyler Ambroziak, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 16th save.
Culley had a big at-bat with a runner on 1st in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a 2-run home run. The Red Bulls went on to win.
"We'll try to build on that win," Culley told the Riverside News.
Jacksonville has now lost 5 in a row.
