Lights Deal Shamrocks Painful Loss
Phoenix Lights starter Roberto Duran was in a groove as he led his team to a win over the Pacifica Shamrocks, 4-3. The winner was Phoenix reliever Devon Labonte, now 4-0. The loser was Aaron Lyons. At 20-23, Phoenix is in 4th place in the Cory Lidle League Gene Mauch Division.

The Lights got a big at-bat from catcher Miles Gregg. For the game, Gregg went 2 for 6 with 2 singles, while adding 2 RBI. In the bottom of the 11th, with the bases loaded, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 30th hit of the season gave Phoenix a 4-3 lead.

"Roberto was throwing strikes, locating well," said Phoenix manager George Alexander Lewis.
