South Carolina third baseman Ron Verity made his presence felt in the 7-2 Bombers triumph over the Cabo San Lucas Toreros. Verity went 2 for 4 with a home run and a double. He drove in 4 runs and scored once. Vincenzo Rizzoli got the win, improving to 3-0. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 7 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 3. The Bombers bumped their record to 20-18 with this latest triumph.

Verity had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the bottom of the fifth inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Bombers went on to win.

"We took advantage of our opportunities," Verity told the South Carolina Chronicle. "It's as simple as that."
