António Ayala put on a hitting clinic today as the Marysville Monarchs dumped the Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats 10-3 at Bloomfield Road.

The Marysville third baseman made Buzzard's Bay defenders earn their pay, lashing Buzzard's Bay pitching for 5 hits in 5 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," Ayala said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

António Ayala singled in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a three-run home run off Orlando Guzmán in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 5th and hit a solo-shot off Takeo Takano in the 8th.
