The Cornhuskers grabbed a win, 3-1, at The Corn Crib, overcoming a fine effort from Long Island pitcher Jackson Knickle. Knickle went 7 innings and allowed 3 earned runs. Bill Neville locked down his 11th save. DeKalb is now 19-23.

Paul Seibold aided the DeKalb cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the fourth. For the game, the second baseman went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Seibold said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
