Red Bulls Win at Jacksonville, 6-4
|
Despite a great performance by Jacksonville first baseman Sam Whitmore, the Riverside Red Bulls defeated the Hellcats by the score of 6-4 at Hellcats Park. Whitmore went 3 for 4 with 2 home runs. Tyler Ambroziak recorded the save for Riverside, his 14th of the season. The Red Bulls saw their win-loss record go to 24-20. At the same time, the Hellcats fell to 12-33.
Larry Jeffries helped out the Riverside cause in the top of the second inning with a run-scoring double. For the game, the first baseman went 1-5 with a double.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Jeffries.
