LeMaster 4-5, Hackers Move to 26-16
|
The Silicon Valley Hackers stopped the Boise Hawks, 11-5, at Basque Block Field. The Hackers got a big game from Ryan LeMaster, who went 4 for 5 with 4 singles. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2. Ramiro Munoz locked down his 1st save. The Hackers bumped their record to 26-16 with this latest triumph.
Silicon Valley used the bat of José Valéncia to get the win. The left fielder hammered a grand slam home run in the top of the second inning to put the Hackers ahead, 6-1. It was his lone hit in 5 at-bats, but it did its damage.
In postgame comments to the Silicon Valley Citizen, Valéncia said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."
