Victory Pushes Ducks Record to 21-21
|
The Spokane Bulldogs went down to defeat to Bill Brock and his Long Island teammates. The final score was 4-1 in favor of the Ducks. Brock picked up the win for Long Island, going 7 innings. He gave up 1 run on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 1-2. Steve Misiak was credited with the save for Long Island, his 3rd of the season.
The Ducks got a big at-bat from second baseman Shoya Wada. For the game, Wada went 1 for 1 with 3 walks. He scored 2 runs. In the top of the sixth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 18th hit of the season gave Long Island a 2-1 lead.
"We did a lot of things right," said Wada.
The Ducks bumped their record to 21-21 with this latest triumph.
