The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats eked out a 3-2 win versus the Pacifica Shamrocks at Bloomfield Road. Nobody did more than pitcher Mike Wolcott, who captured player of the game honors. Wolcott went 6.1 innings to notch the win. He scattered 3 hits, walked 1, and struck out 3. His record improves to 3-2. Kenny Moran converted his 12th save in 12 tries.

Ángel Aquino helped out the Buzzard's Bay cause in the bottom of the sixth inning with a run-scoring single. For the game, the catcher was 1-2 with a walk and was hit by a pitch.

"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Buzzard's Bay skipper Enrique Ramírez.

Buzzard's Bay goes to 38-40, Pacifica to 52-32.
