The Biloxi Bullets eked out a 2-1 win versus the Phoenix Lights at The Sand Dune. Nobody did more than pitcher Chris Burgess, who captured player of the game honors. Doug Durham saved it for Biloxi. Biloxi is now 14-23, Phoenix 15-22.

Biloxi took a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the eighth inning. With one out, left fielder José Salas hit a 2-run home run that set the crowd abuzz.

"We'll enjoy this win," said Salas. "But there's more we hope to accomplish."
