Kanzaburo Takahashi added some punch to the Buzzard's Bay offense, helping them outmuscle the Pacifica Shamrocks, 10-8. In the game, Takahashi, who is tied for 9th in the CLL in stolen bases with 11, went 3 for 4 with a double, 2 singles, and was hit by a pitch, while scoring 4 times. Buzzard's Bay reliever Dimitri Jourdan picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Esteban Montes absorbed the loss. Rickey Turner, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 3rd save.

The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from second baseman Jeff Klein. For the game, Klein was 1 for 3 with a home run and a walk, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 2nd and 3rd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 7-6 lead.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Buzzard's Bay manager Enrique Ramírez.

The Beetlecats now have a record of 16-20 with the win over Pacifica.
