The Marysville Monarchs eked out a 5-4 win versus the Biloxi Bullets at Mitts Fieldhouse. Nobody did more than third baseman Alex Diaz, who captured player of the game honors. Kevin Bongarzone earned the win to go to 3-2. He allowed 3 earned runs on 4 hits, with 3 walks and 3 strikeouts. The win puts the Monarchs at 16-17, while the Bullets drop to 12-20.

Diaz had a big at-bat with a runner on 2nd in the bottom of the third inning, when he hit a run-scoring double. The Monarchs went on to win.

"I'm just happy to help the team win," Diaz told the Marysville Today.
