The Long Island Ducks and Rock River Rats obliged those fans who came to Long Island Stadium hoping for nail-biter.

The Long Island Ducks did just enough to secure a 7-6 victory over the Rock River Rats at Long Island Stadium. Nobody did more than pitcher Jackson Knickle, who captured player of the game honors. The Ducks bumped their record to 17-16 with this latest triumph.

The Ducks got a big at-bat from center fielder Clifton Leclair. For the game, Leclair was 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk. He scored 2 runs. In the bottom of the tenth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 8th hit of the season gave Long Island a 7-6 lead.

"This place sure got loud," said Blake Malone, the Long Island manager.
