Jacksonville starter Estefan López pitched effectively against the Frisco Rams at Hellcats Park. The right-hander led his team to a 5-4 win. Despite the win, Jacksonville, now 9-23, is off to a terrible start.
Sam Whitmore, who is tied for 3rd in the CLL in RBI with 26, aided the Jacksonville cause with a run-scoring single in the bottom of the third. For the game, the first baseman went 2-4 with 2 singles.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Jacksonville manager Pete Dellow. "It's usually not just one thing."
