The Carson City Mustang got a superb performance from center fielder Mo-ruo Nan, but the Wichita Wolverines still won the game, 4-3. Nan was named the player of the game despite the loss. He was 4-5 with a double and 3 singles. He scored 2 runs. The Mustang fall to 16-16 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

The game was decided with one out in the bottom of the 12th. With Wichita trailing 3-2, Bob Wright hit a curveball from Keith Noble to center for a 2-run single. Just like that, the Wolverines had a walk-off win.

"We made a couple of mistakes," said Carson City skipper Nobuharu Chikafuji, "and it cost us."
