Riding the 2-hit performance of the 22-year old catcher Keisaku Yamashita, the Sandy Springs Spartans stopped the Marysville Monarchs, 5-1. The Monarchs fall to 14-16 and continue their wobbly start to the 2034 season.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the second, with the game tied, Tokio Yamaguchi was at the plate when Sandy Springs scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Spartans to go in front, 2-1.

"Another day, another win. On to the next one," Yamashita told the Sandy Springs Herald.
