Hackers Prevail, 3-1, Over Cincinnati
|
The Cincinnati Snaps got a superb performance from pitcher Lenny Tremlett, but the Silicon Valley Hackers still won the game, 3-1. Tremlett was named the player of the game despite the loss. He threw 9 innings of 8-hit ball. The win brings the Hackers to 16-11, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.
Lance Vallery, who is tied for 8th in the CLL in doubles with 7, aided the Silicon Valley cause with a solo home run in the top of the third. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 4 with a home run.
"We'll pop the top on a cold one and get back to work tomorrow," Vallery said.
