Wheeler Goes Wild, But Predators Win
Frisco got a terrific performance from designated hitter Josh Wheeler, but it wasn't enough to beat the Topeka Predators. Topeka won the Outlander Park contest, 9-6. Wheeler was the player of the game despite being on the losing side. He was 4-5 with a home run, a double, and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 4. Juan Disla picked up the win, improving his season record to 3-2. He struck out 3 in 7.1 innings. Earning his 10th save for Topeka was Oscar Ruiz.

Topeka third baseman Germán Peña contributed to the cause with a triple in the top of the first. For the game, Peña was 1-5 with a triple and a walk. He scored 2 times.

"We maximized our offense today," said Topeka skipper Dan Jones. "That makes everyone's life easier."

The Rams fall to 14-14 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
