The Beetlecats grabbed a win, 1-0, at Bloomfield Road, overcoming a fine effort from Long Island pitcher António Domínguez. Domínguez went 5 innings and allowed 1 earned run. The winner was Buzzard's Bay reliever Mike Phelan, now 2-0. The loser was António Domínguez. The Ducks fall to 13-13 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.

The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from shortstop Ralph Hemphill. For the game, Hemphill was 1 for 4 with a home run. In the bottom of the fourth, with the bases empty, he stroked a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 1-0 lead.

"This isn't football or hockey where you can overwhelm your opponents," Hemphill told the Buzzard's Bay Bulletin. "Everyone gets 27 outs and we happened to make the most of them."
