For the game, Sullivan was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 3. Jo-hsi Sang picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-0. He struck out 6 in 6 innings.
In the top of the third, San Antonio third baseman Ron Wheaton had a productive at-bat. With a runner on 2nd and two out, Wheaton stroked a run-scoring single to left. It made the score 8-0, San Antonio. For the game, he was 2 for 5 with 2 singles and a walk, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.
"Enjoyed this one," Wheaton told the San Antonio News. "But it's back to work tomorrow."
