Red Bulls Score Late, Upend Beetlecats, 4-2

The Red Bulls had to overcome a fine performance from Buzzard's Bay pitcher Van Perry to grab a 4-2 win at Red Bull Stadium. Perry allowed 1 earned run over 5.1 innings. Riverside, now 15-9, has gotten their season off to a good start.
The Red Bulls got a big at-bat from first baseman Li-xue Liu. For the game, Liu was 1 for 3 with a double and a walk. In the bottom of the eighth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 4th double of the season gave Riverside a 3-2 lead.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Liu told reporters after the game.
