The Osos had to overcome a fine performance from Jacksonville pitcher Len Adkins to grab a 9-6 win at Hellcats Park. Adkins allowed 1 earned run over 5 innings. Ruidoso reliever Dave Basurto picked up the win, bumping his record to 2-0. Tadakatsu Murayama was collared with the loss. Jacksonville, at 7-17, is off to a poor start in 2034.

Kimi Kokura, who was drafted in the two round of the 2025 draft, helped out the Ruidoso cause in the top of the ninth inning with a 2-run single. For the game, the designated hitter was 1-4 with 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once.

"We'll relax tonight and get back after it tomorrow," Kokura said after the game.
