Despite a fine performance by designated hitter Douglas Dill, the Sandy Springs Spartans suffered a 7-6 loss to the Cincinnati Snaps. Dill went 2 for 3 with a double and 2 walks. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. Lenny Tremlett, the winner, improved to 1-2. He held the Spartans to 3 earned runs on 4 hits over 6 innings, while striking out 6 and walking 6. Bryan Blashill closed the door for Cincinnati, picking up his 5th save of the year.

With two out in the bottom of the second, Greg Bova stroked a go-ahead 2-run single. It was his 8th hit of the season and put Cincinnati in front, 2-1.

"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Cincinnati manager António Álvarez.

The Spartans drop to 10-10 and continue their inconsistent start to the 2034 season.
