Hellcats Need Extras to Top Bullets
The Jacksonville Hellcats beat the Biloxi Bullets, 4-3 at The Sand Dune, in part due to right fielder Álex Pérez, who nabbed player of the game honors. He was 4 for 4 with a triple, 3 singles, and a walk. Jacksonville reliever Noriaki Ine was credited with the win, to go to 1-0. Martín Pérez took the loss for Biloxi. The Bullets fall to 7-12 and continue their unimpressive start to the 2034 season.

The Hellcats got a big at-bat from first baseman Sam Whitmore. For the game, Whitmore was 1 for 5 with a walk. In the top of the 11th, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 25th hit of the season gave Jacksonville a 4-3 lead.
