The Riverside Red Bulls dealt the Phoenix Lights a 9-6 loss at UFO Field. Tadahisa Iwamoto was the star on offense. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Earning his 8th save of the year was Tyler Ambroziak. The Lights fall to 8-12 and continue their uninspiring start to the 2034 season.

Iwamoto had a game-changing single in the top of the eighth. On a full count fastball from Phil Kettenring, he banged a run-scoring single to right, giving the Red Bulls a 7-6 lead. It was the 19th hit of the year for Iwamoto.

"We maximized our offense today," said Riverside skipper Will Hunt. "That makes everyone's life easier."
