The Dallas Texans topped the Seattle Sasquatch, 3-2, in Roberto Clemente League action at Metroplex Park. The player of the game was Dallas pitcher and Carthage, Missouri native Dan Edwards. The Texans bumped their record to 21-15 with this latest triumph.
The Texans got a big at-bat from first baseman Dave Stoner. For the game, Stoner was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the fifth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 5th home run of the season gave Dallas a 3-2 lead.
"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Edwards.
