Bullets Rally to Eke Out Win
In a high-scoring game between Biloxi and Jacksonville, shortstop Eduardo Castillo was a difference-maker. The 23-year-old earned player of the game honors in the 9-8 Biloxi win. He was 2-3 with a triple, a double, and a walk, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Biloxi reliever Martín Pérez picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Chris Elwell was saddled with the loss. The Hellcats, at 5-14, have stumbled out of the gate.

The Bullets got a big at-bat from center fielder Ashton Hairston. For the game, Hairston went 2-4 with 2 singles and 2 walks, while adding 3 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the 11th, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 14th hit of the season gave Biloxi a 9-8 lead.

"This is a resilient bunch," said Biloxi manager Manuel Ruíz.
