Hellcats Lose, 6-1, at Mitts Fieldhouse
|
Marysville played host to Jacksonville at the friendly confines of Mitts Fieldhouse.
The Marysville Monarchs topped the Jacksonville Hellcats by the score of 6-1, with the largest share of the credit going to second baseman Adrian Sparks. Sparks was 2-2 with a home run and 2 walks, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once for the Monarchs. Kevin Bongarzone was the winning pitcher. Over 6 innings, he allowed 1 run on 6 hits, with 1 walk and 3 strikeouts. Jaiden Harris earned his 1st save in 1 tries.
Early in the game, catcher Tom Monacelli had a 2-run home run for Marysville. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Monarchs on top, 2-1.
