Victory Pushes Hackers Record to 9-7
The Silicon Valley Hackers got a stellar performance from pitcher Ron Callaghan, who handcuffed the Buzzard's Bay offense en route to a 4-1 win at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Silicon Valley reliever Joe Edwards was the winner. His record is now 3-0. Jesús Tobías took the loss. The win brings the Hackers to 9-7, a promising start as the team looks to return to the playoffs.

The Hackers got a big at-bat from right fielder Danny Knodel. For the game, Knodel went 1-3 with a triple, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the seventh, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run triple. His 1st triple of the season gave Silicon Valley a 2-1 lead.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Silicon Valley manager Bob Miller. "Our pregame was pretty good."
