The Pacifica Shamrocks trumped the Marysville Monarchs, 5-3, at McCormick Field. Pacifica designated hitter Josh Bowmer was named player of the game for his performance. He went 2-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. The win was credited to Esteban Montes in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Ryan Le Carré took the loss. The Shamrocks, now 11-5, have been red hot.

Had Bobby Savoy not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases empty, Savoy hit a solo home run. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Shamrocks.

"You can't get too high when things go well, or too low when things go bad. Right now, I'm just happy we got the win," Bowmer told the Pacifica Daily.
