Victory Pushes Hawks Record to 7-7
|
The Boise Hawks picked up a win at Hellcats Park, knocking off the Jacksonville Hellcats, 6-2. Starting pitcher Tokuma Taihei played a key role in the triumph. The Hellcats, now 4-9, continue their poor start.
Boise right fielder Pete Freeman contributed to the cause with a single in the top of the fourth. For the game, Freeman was 2-5 with 2 singles. He scored 2 times.
"We cashed in when we had the chance," said Boise manager Tom Becker.
