The Sandy Springs Spartans bested the Spokane Bulldogs by a score of 7-6, with right fielder Hirofumi Ishibashi getting the main credit. On the day, Ishibashi was 3-4 with a double, 2 singles, and a walk for the Spartans. The Spartans keep rolling, raising their record to 7-4.

Had Satomi Takano not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 1st and 3rd, Takano hit a run-scoring single. That made the score 7-6, in favor of the Spartans.

"I still think this team has room for improvement," Ishibashi told the Sandy Springs Herald.
