Bulldogs Get Win, Hope to Turn Around Slow Start
|
The Spokane Bulldogs bested the Sandy Springs Spartans by a score of 8-3, with left fielder Shigem Allen getting the main credit. On the day, Allen went 4 for 5 with 4 singles, while scoring 2 times for the Bulldogs. Ruben Fernandez earned the win to go to 1-2. He allowed 3 earned runs on 13 hits, with 3 walks and 6 strikeouts. The Spartans, now 6-4, continue their sluggish start.
Dong-woo Lee, who is tied for 2nd in the RHL in hits with 17, aided the Spokane cause with a run-scoring double in the top of the third. For the game, the shortstop went 2-5 with a double.
