Carson City and Madison duked it out at The Hive and the Mustang came out victorious.
Carson City designated hitter Pedro Moreno was instrumental in his team's 8-6 win over the Madison Beehive. Moreno went 2-3 with 3 runs scored to lead the offensive attack for the Mustang. Kaong Foong picked up the win, improving his season record to 1-1. He struck out 5 in 6.2 innings.
Mo-ruo Nan helped out the Carson City cause in the top of the seventh inning with a bases-clearing triple. For the game, the left fielder was 1 for 3 with a triple and a walk, while adding 4 RBI.
"We got the victory," said Nan. "That's all that matters at the end of the day."
The Beehive fall to 4-5 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
