Red Bulls Get Road Win, 6-3
|
The Jacksonville Hellcats got a superb performance from pitcher Kwan-cheol Hwang, but the Riverside Red Bulls still won the game, 6-3. Hwang was named the player of the game despite the loss. He came in in relief and pitched to 20 batters . Reliever Pablo Merced picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Estefan López took the loss. The Hellcats fall to 4-6 and continue their uneasy start to the 2034 season.
In the bottom of the ninth, Sam Whitmore stood in the box, looking for a pitch to hammer. The Hellcats were trailing 6-3, but had the bases loaded. That's when Tyler Ambroziak made a terrific pitch and Whitmore popped out. Gone was the dream of a Jacksonville comeback.
