Marauders Lose to Bombers, 3-1
|
The South Carolina Bombers satisfied the home crowd at Bomber Ballpark, treating them to a season-opening win, 3-1, over the Maple Marauders. Starting Pitcher Ange Schmit was named player of the game for South Carolina. The save went to Ed Armstrong, his 1st this season.
The Bombers got a big at-bat from catcher Jesús Dela. For the game, Dela was 1-4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave South Carolina a 3-1 lead.
"Nice to see our side come away with the win," Dela said after the game.
