Hellcats Win at Silicon Valley, 11-8
|
Silicon Valley center fielder Bruce Stewart had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 11-8, to Jacksonville at San Jose Municipal Stadium. Stewart went 3-3 with a home run, 2 singles, and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs. Eugene Spencer picked up the win with 6 innings of work. He allowed 8 earned runs on 13 hits, while walking 6 and striking out 2. On the season, he is now 1-0. The save went to Tadakatsu Murayama, his 1st this season.
