DeKalb and Spokane met at The Kennel in front of a lively crowd.

The DeKalb Cornhuskers powered past the Spokane Bulldogs, 11-5, at The Kennel. Eric Daniels was 4 for 5 with a home run and 2 doubles, while scoring 2 times and driving in 7, to lead the charge. DeKalb reliever Steve Henderson picked up the win, upping his record to 1-0. Ian Portz absorbed the loss.

Daniels had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the seventh inning, when he hit a bases-clearing double. The Cornhuskers went on to win.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Daniels said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."

The win pushes DeKalb to a record of 4-4.
