Bulldogs Bang Out 11-6 Win Versus DeKalb
|
The Spokane Bulldogs beat the DeKalb Cornhuskers, 11-6, at The Kennel. The win was largely due to the efforts of right fielder Ben Jack, who captured player of the game honors. He went 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 times and driving in 3. Eric Buffy got the win, improving to 1-1. He worked 5.2 innings, giving up 2 runs on 6 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 2. The Bulldogs, with just their 2nd win in 8 games, have played uninspired baseball so far.
The two teams provided some entertaining baseball for the The Kennel crowd. Regardless of the outcome, a good time was had by all.
"We need to string a few more wins like this one together," said Jack.
