Harada Lifts Beetlecats to 6-3 Win
|
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats defeated the Pacifica Shamrocks, 6-3, in Cory Lidle League action at McCormick Field, with Buzzard's Bay shortstop Kijuro Harada named player of the game. Mike Salter closed the game out for Buzzard's Bay, earning his 2nd save. With the win, Buzzard's Bay improves its record to 4-3.
Jorge Silva hit a 2-run triple off Frank Hillier in the top of the third, which put the Beetlecats in front, 2-1. Silva had 1 single, in addition to the triple. For the game, he went 2 for 5.
"It was a solid team effort and we'll try to keep this momentum going," Harada told reporters after the game.
