The DeKalb Cornhuskers cruised to a 17-2 win over the Spokane Bulldogs at The Kennel today. David Acosta led the way, going 4-for-5 for DeKalb. Graeme Hughes, credited with the win, is now 2-0. He allowed no runs on 6 hits in 5.1 innings. Enrico Avalos picked up the save for DeKalb, his 1st of the year.

Acosta had a big at-bat with the bases loaded in the top of the first inning, when he hit a grand slam. The Cornhuskers went on to win.

"We'll grab a cold one tonight and go after another win tomorrow," Acosta said.

With the win, DeKalb boosts its record to 3-3.
