Bulldogs Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Fraser Valley
|
The Spokane Bulldogs topped the Fraser Valley Black Bears, 7-4, with first baseman Terry Simmon playing a big role. Simmon went 2-5 with a home run and a double. He drove in 3 runs and scored once for the Bulldogs in the win. Spokane starter Tom Bennett was credited with the win after throwing 97 pitches over 6 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The Bulldogs, with just their 1st win so far in 2034, have yet to catch fire.
Simmon had a key at-bat for Spokane early in the game. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 3-run home run. It was his 3rd home run of the season and gave Spokane an early 3-0 lead.
"I just try to see the ball and put a good swing on it," said Simmon.
