The Silicon Valley Hackers defeated the Youngstown Tune-Ups, 3-1, in Cory Lidle League action at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum, with Silicon Valley pitcher Terry Yarrigle named player of the game. Quiang Tu, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 2nd save. Silicon Valley, now 2-3, is off to a slow start.
Keith Hawley chipped in for Silicon Valley with a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh. For the game, the designated hitter had 2 hits in 3 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 2 runs batted in.
