Tight Tilt Goes to Osos, 2-1
|
Fans at McCormick Field were not deterred by the threat of rain. They came to see their hometown Pacifica Shamrocks take on the Ruidoso Osos.
The Ruidoso Osos scored a 2-1 win versus the Pacifica Shamrocks at McCormick Field. Ruidoso designated hitter Rich Burnes nabbed top player honors in the tight contest. The loss lowers the Pacifica record to 3-2.
Ruidoso grabbed the momentum in the top of the fifth, when Burnes hit a solo home run. His 2nd home run of the season put the Osos out in front, 2-1.
Burnes told a Ruidoso Observer reporter that he was "more than satisfied" with the win.
