Riverside starter Hyun-tae Hwan pitched effectively against the Boise Hawks at Red Bull Stadium. The left-hander led his team to a 5-1 win. At 3-0, the Red Bulls have played well so far.

Early in the game, first baseman Li-xue Liu had a 2-run home run for Riverside. It was his 1st home run of the season and put the Red Bulls on top, 2-0.

"It feels good to get this one," Liu told the Riverside News.
