Tune-Ups Bang Out 7-4 Win Versus Silicon Valley
The Youngstown Tune-Ups topped the Silicon Valley Hackers, 7-4, in Cory Lidle League action at Joey Naples Memorial Colloseum. The player of the game was Youngstown pitcher Ryan Davis. Youngstown reliever Rafael López picked up the win, upping his record to 2-0. Josh Belcher was saddled with the loss. Jackson Thompson earned the save for Youngstown, his 2nd of the year.

Had Yasuo Sakamoto not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Sakamoto hit a grand slam. That made the score 7-4, in favor of the Tune-Ups.

"We were the better team today. Maybe that won't be the case next game, but we'll enjoy it for now," Sakamoto told the Youngstown News.

Youngstown, at 3-1, has sizzled in the early going.
