Beetlecats Win in Extras
The Buzzard's Bay Beetlecats grabbed a 9-8 win over the Phoenix Lights at Bloomfield Road. Buzzard's Bay designated hitter Hyung-gwang Park went 3-4 with 2 doubles and a walk, while adding 3 RBI to earn player of the game honors. Buzzard's Bay reliever Mike Salter picked up the win, upping his record to 2-1. Grégoire Maillet was saddled with the loss. At 2-1, the Beetlecats have played well so far.

The Beetlecats got a big at-bat from second baseman Jeff Klein. For the game, Klein was 1-2. In the bottom of the tenth, with a runner on 3rd, he stroked a run-scoring single. His 1st hit of the season gave Buzzard's Bay a 9-8 lead.

"It feels good to get this one," Park told the Buzzard's Bay Bulletin.
