Suzuki Helps Rats Run Win Streak to 4
The Rock River Rats topped the Long Island Ducks by the score of 8-5, with the largest share of the credit going to left fielder Tatsuhito Suzuki. Suzuki was 3-4 with a home run, a double, and a walk. He scored 2 runs and drove in 5 for the Rats. Rock River reliever Ramón Román was the winner. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Dave Cutlip. Steve Cherry earned the save for Rock River, his 3rd of the year.

Suzuki had a game-changing home run in the top of the eighth. On a 2-2 curveball from Dave Cutlip, he banged a grand slam home run to right, giving the Rats a 8-5 lead. It was the 3rd home run of the year for Suzuki.

"We've got a great group of guys," Suzuki said, "and we're having fun right now."
