Black Bears Rally For Late Win Over Cornhuskers
The inspired effort of DeKalb shortstop Kyle McWilliams was not enough to prevent a 6-5 loss to the Fraser Valley Black Bears. McWilliams went 2-3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. With the loss, DeKalb sinks to 1-1.

The Black Bears got a big at-bat from catcher Milt Mezzanotte. For the game, Mezzanotte went 1-4 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the top of the ninth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 1st home run of the season gave Fraser Valley a 6-5 lead.
