Red Bulls Turn Back Silicon Valley, 3-1
|
Pitcher Héctor Bello was sensational for the Riverside Red Bulls in his team's 3-1 triumph over the Silicon Valley Hackers. Bello received player of the game honors, while picking up the win. Tyler Ambroziak earned the save, his 2nd, for the Red Bulls. Riverside is off to a hot start at 2-0.
Had Wilson Rodríguez not delivered a key base hit in the top of the seventh, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and the bases loaded, Rodríguez hit a 2-run single. That made the score 3-1, in favor of the Red Bulls.
"It takes a lot of things to win a ballgame," said Riverside manager Will Hunt. "It's usually not just one thing."
